INTERACTIVE: SQUARE WAVE (CD ROM format) |
|
- Normally allow the AC supply to which they are connected pass to their output.
-
When they detect a power failure or an important fluctuation in the input voltage they use the batteries to generate the AC supply.
This means that the devices connected to the UPS have no power supply for a very brief period of time (4-10 ms).
Nevertheless, most electronic devices, such as computers, are not affected by this as they have a small amount of accumulated energy which allows them to withstand this period without switching off.
- For critical devices such as servers, OLFER recommends Online technology.
- Interactive devices also make small alterations to the input voltage. For example, if the input has to be 230 VAC and the device detects 200VAC, then it increases the voltage to a fixed level (for example to 220 VAC).
- Nevertheless, of the input voltage is too high or low then the UPS device will generate this using the batteries.
-
Square waves are not is not the signal which is normally generated by the power companies. For this reason some devices will not function correctly with this type of wave (motors, measuring equipment, etc.).
- Most electronic devices (e..g computers) can use this type of wave.
-
The main advantage of these UPS devices is their low price.
-
CD Rom format UPS have the advantage that they may be integrate directly into the C using one of the CD Rom bays. We therefore do not have to use cables, nor have devices connected to the PC in order to protect it from power cuts.
- It is the most compact and simple model for PCs.
Below find some examples of this type of UPS. Higher power models with triphase inputs and outputs are available on request. Contact our sales staff for more information.
